Witches and warlocks will haunt downtown Pensacola as Winterfest teams up with Shakespearean actors!
The 2014 Witches and Warlocks Convention will soon bring horror, humor and a Shakespearean accent to downtown Pensacola.
Climb aboard a Winterfest trolley and Glinda the Good Witch will lead you on encounters with some of the most famous spell-casters in history. You'll learn a charm to protect yourself from their dark magic, release a helpless victim from a terrible curse, and pick up some candy along the way, thanks to actors from First City Shakespeare.
This tour is a little bit spooky and a whole lot of fun for the family, with singing, interactive visits with the witches, and goodies for everyone.
The rides begin Oct. 10 and last 90 minutes, beginning and ending at the Visitor Information Center at the foot of the Pensacola Bay Bridge. Cost is $5 for children 10 and younger, $20 for adults.
The performances will be held at 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Oct. 10, 11, 17 and 18. On Oct. 24, 25 and 31, the rides will be at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.!
The Halloween Trolley Tour is a production of First City Shakespeare in conjunction with Pensacola Winterfest, a nonprofit group with a long record of family-friendly entertainment.
